Main Service Panels

Your Main Service Panel is the most important device of your home. Without a properly working electrical panel, your home cannot function correctly. Many electricians will tell you that your electrical panel is the heart of your home. This is because it creates a flow of electricity that goes out into your home and comes back into your panel. Just like the human heart.

 

For this reason, older electrical panels pose a huge danger to home owners. Older homes rely on electrical wiring and panel components that can be out-dated and inefficient.

Grounding your Home

In an electrical circuit, there is what’s known as an active wire, which supplies the power, and a neutral wire, which carries that current back. Within electrical circuits, a ‘grounding wire’ can also be attached to outlets and other electrical devices and also securely connected to the ground at the breaker box.

This ground wire is an additional path for an electrical current to return safely to the ground without danger to anyone in the event of a short circuit. If a short circuit did occur, the current would flow through the ground wire, causing a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker – an outcome much more preferable than the fatal shock that could result if the current was not grounded.

New Construction

Electrical wiring within your home has an average lifespan of 20 years, and although this may sound a lot, it is unbelievably easy to forget. Just like anything else in your home your electrical needs maintenance.


After 20 years, natural conditions can cause the wiring or its insulation to deteriorate, which can present a danger.     A safer option is to upgrade your lighting to LED. LED lights generate virtually no heat therefore they are cool to the touch and can be left on for hours without incident or consequence if touched.  


    LEDs can also safe you money and time. They are extremely energy efficient and consume up to 90% less power than incandescent bulbs. Since LEDs use only a fraction of the energy of an incandescent light bulb there is a dramatic decrease in power costs. 

  • Switches & Dimmers

    Dimmer switches are the best way to add personality to your home. They are functional and energy efficient because they allow you to reduce your energy consumption by adjusting your lighting levels according to the intended purpose at any given time. 

  • GFCI's

    A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI),  is a device that shuts off an electric power circuit when it detects that current is flowing along an unintended path, such as through water or a person. 


    A GFCI recognizes the surge and immediately shuts down the entire circuit. Protecting you and your family members.

  • Solar

    In 2018, Solar is paving the way in energy efficiency and independence. By installing Solar, you receive a 30% refund from equipment and installation as a federal income tax credit when you file your taxes. 


    The investment also has a payback period of only 3.5 years, while the solar panels have a warranty of 10 years and useful lifespan of 25 years—which means you generate free electricity and extra credits for 20+ years. It's hard to beat.
